Becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of - our Western Red Cedar decorative logs boast distinctive ring features.
Originating from North America, our Western Red Cedar logs undergo sanding of the profiles to a fine smooth finish. Along the length of the log a light sanding is undertaken to remove all of the loose bark fragments. However, we intentionally leave areas of smoothed bark because we love the chocolate and brown colouring.
Additionally, to really make the ring features stand out we finish the profiles with a light coating of Shellac.
We kiln dry all of our own logs for up to 2 weeks.
